User-Level Privileges

User-Level Privileges are used to allow or deny access to certain features for a specified user. Combined with Site-Level Privileges, they determine the user's effective privileges. The Effective Privileges column displays the user's actual privileges once the user-level and site-level privileges have been applied.

To view a definition of a privilege, point the cursor to the item. The definition displays in a tool-tip. You can also click on the privilege and view the definition at the bottom right of the screen (above the Reset/Save/Close buttons).

Claims User Privileges

User-Level privileges can be set per privilege, or by using the Quick Set options. When user configuration is complete, click Save to save changes, or Reset to revert any unsaved changes. Click Close to exit the User-Level Privileges screen.

Quick Set

Quick set options allow you to assign the most common privileges for certain user types, such as Guest users or Supervisors. Selecting Default will set user privileges based on the Site-Level Privileges.

To assign quick set privileges, first select a User name in the drop-down list, then select the appropriate option in the Quick Set list. Click Save to save the changes, or Reset to revert to the user's previous settings.

Users can also create and manage individual user privilege quick set template(s), applying privileges to new and existing users more efficiently based on defined roles within the provider's organization.

Quick sets are saved at the site level. Any newly created or updated quick sets are visible to all users who have access to the User-Level Privilege page. Users with an associated quick set are available to be selected from the Please select a user drop-down menu. Upon selection, <Common Settings> is no longer an option within the Quick set drop-down menu.

Note: If the quick set is modified after the association of a user or if a user's privileges are modified beyond what was assigned through the quick set, the quick set view reverts back to <Common Settings>. This lets users know that they are no longer associated with a specific quick set configuration.

User Privileges

To set User-Level privileges, select a user in the drop-down list. Click the cell in the User Privileges column and select the desired access from the drop-down list:

  • Allow: The privilege is accessible to this user. If Site-Level privileges are denied, the selection menu is disabled.
  • Deny: The privilege will not be accessible to this user.
  • Default: The privilege will only be accessible to a user if their Site-Level privileges specifically allow it. If it is not allowed in Site-Level Privileges, the User-Level privilege will be denied.

Direct Assignment Privileges

Direct Assignment privileges allow a supervisor to manage exceptions to the following privileges:

Select the Set Direct Assignment Privileges link to access the User Assignment Privileges screen, where you can configure the selected user's task-assignment privileges by Groups.
